Maple Nation Mini Grants

The energy, information, ideas and network created at the Voices from Maple Nation Indigenous Women's Climate Summit generated momentum to translate our good words into action. To support actions on behalf of land and people, participants from the Voices from Maple Nation Indigenous Women's Climate Summit were eligible to apply for Maple Nation Mini Grants to encourage the growth and sustainability of the Voices from Maple Nation network by supporting the activities of Voices from Maple Nation participants in their communities.

The mini grants awarded supported organizing environment-related events in communities, attendance at related conferences or events, hosting information and action workshops, and strengthening our network and advancing the goals set forward in our declaration.

Grants were awarded to Dorene Bernard, Terrylynn Brant, Suzanne Greenlaw and Sylvia Plain.
